If you are approved for care through TLN as an Aetna provider, your service is completely covered for you and your baby. You will never pay a dime for care, ensuring you have full insurance coverage. *However, you may be charged separate travel or cancellation fees for additional services like lactation support.

Aetna states that mothers can have 6 covered visits under their insurance coverage. However, this may not include all lactation support services for both mom and baby. Some cost sharing could apply, such as deductibles, co-pays, coinsurance, or possible denial of care. As an Aetna provider, we can help you understand your benefits and what is covered.

The Affordable Healthcare Act mandates that insurance companies provide coverage for lactation support; however, some, including Aetna, do not always honor this requirement.
