Welcome to Lactation Arts!  I am a nurse and lactation consultant with over 20 years experience in labor and delivery, pediatrics, NICU, maternal newborn nursing and lactation consulting.  I have been an IBCLC since 2011.  In my long career I have seen and provided care for an extensive variety of families/patients/clients. I am a published author of lactation and birth education materials for families. I served as an expert lecturer on Implementing the Baby Friendly/Virginia Breastfeeding Friendly Hospital Initiative and Supporting Breastfeeding at Night. I teach nurses and mentor aspiring lactation consultants.  I am a member of The United States Lactation Consultant Association and The Virginia Breastfeeding Coalition and was certified by The International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.

I am a mother to two beautiful breastfed daughters, have too many pets, and am also an artist.

I believe in optimism.
